Eating & Swallowing

We have verification by two separate sources (Shmuel & Shifra) that the twins are actually swallowing food. How do you suppose this is verified? By seeing "things" in their poo, of course! :-) And according to Shifra, Dovid is not vomiting nearly as much as he was. We're also trying new and different things, such as asparagus and honey dew. (We haven't tried the honey dew yet...it's next on the list.) They've also had carrots, green beans, cucumber and lots of other stuff too. Yay!! I don't think they've cut down on their milk feeds at all, so I don't think they're actually swallowing much, but anything swallowed and digested (even partially) is a victory in my book. :-)

  1. Woo for progress!! I remember the first time I found green beans in Q's diaper! Major happy dance! I LOVE babyled weaning! They seem to enjoy it so much more than mushes. Matter of fact, my mom tried to sneak Q some rice cereal once and he spit it on her.

  2. My mom called a friend to come over and keep an eye on Jesse so that I could unpack a bit. In the 3 minutes that it took me to start diaper laundry, she put him in the high chair and was trying to feed him banana off her finger and corn cereal. Jesse is 5 months old. I was MAD!!! but I couldn't say anything to her. How in the world do you take it upon yourself to feed someone's baby when you don't even know them?! Anyhow...

I'm SO glad that the kiddos are really making progress. I guess it didn't end up being remarkably easy as I thought it might be, but they'll get it. Next month it will be Jesse's turn!
