Classes & Doulas

Shmuel & I went to a parenting multiples class today. Shmuel learned how to change a diaper and swaddle a baby, and we got this great binder full of tips and resources. Tomorrow is our first birthing class! I'm really excited about that.

I've been interviewing doulas right and left. So far prices range from $550 to $1100 with most being about $900. Unfortunately, my two favorite are both $900. Maybe one of them will lower their price so I can afford it. The one who's $550 sounds on the phone like she's old enough to be my grandma, so we'll see how I like her when I interview her tomorrow.

Good luck finding a doula you can afford. Someday I hope to be able to become one but we'll see.

Good luck finding a doula! Sounds like you had a great parenting class. Ours was really quick--they just had someone demonstrate diaper changing, bathing and such. I've changed many a diaper, but I wish Josh would have gotten a chance to practice. The nurse also showed us how to swaddle, but we didn't practice that either so I don't remember at all! Enjoy your birthing class!!

Good Luck in your doula hunt...and the classes sound exciting. Have fun! You will get to practice these skills a lot later. :)

Maybe think of it like $450 per child?

Hopefully you will like the less costly one.

Good luck with the Doula search! Hope you find one perfect in personality/experience, and price!
