Bad Dovid...

Before I went to bed last night, I went into the twins' room just to check on them. Chana was sleeping peacefully. Dovid was sleeping on his stomach!!!! YIPE! So now I had two choices. 1) I could pretend I hadn't seen it and leave him that way so as not to wake him up. Or 2) I could flip him onto his back and hope he wouldn't wake up. Of course, I chose option 2. Even though I know the risk of SIDS goes way down once your baby can roll over, I still flipped him. I also just ordered the Angelcare Baby Motion Monitor to put under their crib mattresses. I'd rather not take chances now that he's sleeping on his front without my knowledge...

  1. Once they can roll and lift their head at a 45 degree angle the risk is pretty much gone. I wouldn't stress about it too much. He's probably more comfortable on his stomach.

  2. Oh, Elana, he's not bad!! Chas v'Halilah. He's just rambuctious -maybe he'll come join us here this week for the 18th Maccabiah games? I do believe there is an event called "baby flips" (3 mo. division).
He needs to work those muscles to make his way into Yiddle-league soon, too!
GO DOVID GO!! (Chani can be the cheerleader)

  3. Big strong man! It is possible that it was just a fluke, or he may prefer sleeping on his stomach. I'm in a pickle because my Jesse also seems to prefer his stomach. Same with my David but he's older. More specifically, they like to sleep on MY stomach. Or my husband's. Or my mother's.
