Home, Sweet Home

I was finally discharged from the hospital today! They were keeping me for extra time because my gastric system hadn't woken up quick enough for their liking (and the gas pains were pretty horrific) and they needed to treat me for that (on top of everything else). I know you've all been waiting for pictures, and now that I'm home I can finally upload them to my blog. So here goes!

This is a picture of the happy family. You can ignore the fact that I look like something the cat dragged in...

This is a picture of my daughter. We named her Chana Brocha.

This is a picture of my son, who won't be named until his circumcision.

That's all for now. I believe my brother-in-law has much better pictures. :-)

  1. You have beautiful children! Congrats again beautiful mama! I hope you got some rest in the hospital while they were trying to get your belly to wake up.

  4. Oh Elana, they are SO beautiful. I can't wait until his circumcision to find out his name. Do you have one ready, just can't officially name until the bris? (is that what it's called?) fyi - the circumcision is SO easy. I used to think the whole bris thing was scary, as it was just done at home, but it's no different really in the hospital, no drugs or whatever are used.

Anywho - I took a look at the guessing game and I came in 2nd place behind your sister. How much did she know about them? I totally guessed and had NO CLUE how big the babies were getting, so I am quite proud of myself. Did I guess before or after her? (just curious! Not trying to win or anything!!)

Good job momma. I'm thrilled you get to experience this now.

    The kids look wonderful. Congratulations!

I did go to your BIL's blog, but the pics were really tiny! Come to think of it, the babies looked really tiny!

    Congratulations again, Momma!

When is your son's circumcision? I hope I did not ask an inappropriate question. Is there some traditional day fixed for it?

  9. Beautiful babies, Elana! I can't wait to find out your son's name. Chana Brocha is really pretty (though she's in for a lot of mispronunciations with two "ch"s).

  12. I think you look great. I had two big ol' swollen-black eyes after L&D. Now THAT looked bad. You look a bit tired but in that "I just had a baby" way. Very serene.
