Losing Weight

is really, really hard! I seriously haven't lost any weight since right after I lost all the water following delivery. I'm so hungry, and I can't stop snacking! And I'm even choosing healthy snacks like nuts and celery. I'm trying a new thing called "Isagenix," which I found out about from a fellow blogger. So far I'm not so good at keeping to the plan, because I'm so ravenously hungry all the time. What I wouldn't give to be back on Metformin when I could barely bring myself to eat once a day, let alone all the time. *sigh* I hate this.

  1. Maybe your hunger will decrease since you just stopped breast feeding permanently? I kn ow when I get REALLY hungry and there is really no need for me to be hungry, I drink cold water. That usually helps. Although there are a lot of trips to the bathroom which can be annoying ;o) Good luck, it's so hard to lose weight.

  2. Losing weight does feel like an uphill battle when you feel like you are STARVING all the time.

When I am trying not to eat/snack so much I chew a lot of gum, or eat sugar-free hard candy.

    Good luck!

  3. I need to start trying to lose my extra weight as well. I am going to start tomorrow. I plan on using SparkPeople at first with an eye on Jenny Craig. Normally I wouldn't do Jenny Craig but I could use the convenience of pre-packaged meals right now, especially for lunch.

  4. I haven't heard of Isagenix, but just googled it -- seems interesting. Congrats on breastfeeding for 3 months, and also on making the decision that your done. I know it can be tough to make the decision, but you did what's right for both you and the twins, and they'll definitely be well nourished no matter what!

  5. i honestly lost the weight by hardly not eating at all. It was the only eay I'd lose so much weight. I'd eat enough just to make breastmilk and that's that. SO if you stoped breastfeeding permanently, you'll have to control it by just NOT eating it. You'll be hungry, but it will work. Good luck!

  6. Not eating slows your metabolism. Not a good idea for weight loss. Eat sensibly and exercise but don't work against yourself.

  7. Elana, Shira is right. I always skipped breakfast and even when I was a teenager, I skipped lunch. All it did was make my metabolism even slower. They say you need to eat breakfast and get 71/2 - 8 hours of sleep. I know when I eat breakfast I am often hu8ngrier for lunch, but maybe that's a good thing. Don't get crazy about it. Hopefully it will happen in time.
