Sugar Doll Award

My blogger friend Miriam gave me the Sugar Doll Award!!! Wow, thank you!

Now then, I have to say 10 things about myself and then give this award to 10 fellow bloggers. Here we go!

10 Things About Me:

1) I am considering staying at Roxbury Community College for their associate degree nursing program instead of going to much more expensive bachelor degree program elsewhere.

2) I cannot stand learning about photosynthesis and the electron transport chain. I would rather do housework (and I hate housework)!

3) I'm hoping that my eggs are paying attention in biology class and start learning how to do cytokinesis properly.

4) I'm freaking out that Pesach is next week, so I'm pretending that it doesn't exist and maybe it'll go away.

5) The smell of my husband's cholent dinner is making me gag.

6) I wish my extra stomach flab from the twins would just go away. At this point I do not like people thinking that I'm pregnant and staring at my stomach just wondering when I'm "due". *grumble* I'm not due anytime that I know of, dammit!

7) I hate it when colleges make you pay over $5 for an official transcript that takes them $.01 to print and $.44 to mail. It's highway robbery, and I should call the cops on them.

8) I love the TV show M*A*S*H, and if you didn't already know that then you obviously weren't reading my blog a year ago when I was watching it every single day... :-) My favorite character is Radar, and I like to pretend that he's still my age even though he's really old enough to be my father (and maybe even grandfather).

9) Now that I've discovered the wonders of shopping at Market Basket, I won't shop anywhere else (excluding what I need for kosher/Pesach food that Market Basket doesn't carry).

10) I hate thunderstorms. They terrify me, especially the really big ones when they say there could be tornadoes. EEP!

I give this award to:

Sarah R @ Andrew Tales (The Little Dragon)
Celia @ Breeder Beware
Gayby Rabies
J @ Just a Pair of Moms (in training)
Mrs. Gamgee @ Hobbit-ish Thoughts and Ramblings
Jess @ My Silly Monkeys: Reviews & Giveaways
Eileen @ We got hitched. We bought the 4 bedroom house. Now what???
Chelley @ This is the story of my life...and I write it every day.
Lisa @ A Day in the Life of Preachmans Wife
Jessi @ Talk Less, Dance More

Craft-O-Rama

I got this from The Captain's Wife

Here's how it works....The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me, especially for you.

I promise I'll make it worth your while!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1) I make no guarantees that you will like what I make but I hope you will.
2) What I create will be just for you.
3)They say I have a year to get it to you. But I hope it will NOT take that long! I'm shooting for 30 days.
4) You have no clue what it's going to be. It’s a surprise to both of us at this point.

The catch? You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog!

Tag-a-Roo

I've been tagged by WiseGuy @ Woman Anyone?!!

The rules are:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about you.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end, and include links to their blogs.

Okee dokee...here goes!

1. I always dreamed of having twins (a boy and a girl specifically) ever since I was a little girl. I would pretend to give birth to twins and was absolutely fascinated if someone on tv had twins (well, I was fascinated that they gave birth at all, but especially twins). Looks like G-d listens to EVERYTHING! heh

2. I also remember thinking that I really didn't want to have a baby until Bush is out of office. G-d apparently is listening to my thoughts too. Hopefully He'll remember that that means no babies until after Jan 21, because I'll be about 27 weeks at that point.

3. My husband makes the best darned scrambled eggs w/ mushrooms & cheese in the world.

4. My hubby and I both love animals--especially cats. Unfortuntaely, we can't get one cuz my hubby is allergic.

5. I cannot stand the sound of people chewing. It drives me soooo up the wall that I actually wear ear plugs at some meals (but usually no one can tell I'm wearing 'em).

6. My husband does all of the domestic stuff around the house--grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc. And I make sure the bills are paid. I live the good life.

7. Even though I'm Jewish and most things revolving around Christmas drive me crazy, I love commercials that play in December. Most notably the one with the Hershey's Kisses that play "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" (which I actually cried during the first time I saw it this season), the Folger's commercial where the son comes home, and the Campbell's commercial with the little boy that melts from a snowman into a boy eating hot soup.

Here are the lovely ladies that I am tagging:

Jewels @ Empty Nesting
Lisa @ A Day in the Life of Preachmans Wife
Peeveme @ Bellyaching and Benedictions
Bean @ Hoping for Another Lovebug
Nancy @ TheNewLifeOfNancy
The Captain's Wife @ Staying Above the Water
Monica @ The World According to Monica

I've been tagged!!

OMG!! I've been tagged! I am so honored and thank Nikki for tagging me today.

The rules of tag are:

Link to the person who tagged you
Post the rules to your blog
Write 6 random things about yourself
Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them
Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

Here are 6 random things about me:

1) I am Orthodox Jewish, so I keep the Sabbath, keep kosher, wear only skirts, cover my hair, etc. etc.

2) I absolutely LOVE country music (and sing to the radio in my car all the time)!

3) My husband and I are 14 years apart (he is older), and we are both the babies in our respective families...so most of his siblings are old enough to be my parents. (My mother is about 11 years older than my husband's oldest sibling)

Here's a really cute picture I took of him on our second date, so you can see he doesn't look particularly old.

4) I love Harry Potter--love the books, love the movies. I am a complete Potter fanatic. :-)

5) My life is a complete open book--I have nothing to hide and would share nearly any information with anyone who asked.

6) I've been watching Days of our Lives since I was born (with a few years off when I didn't have a TV/VCR in college). Best.Soap.Ever.

Now I need to tag 6 people:

I tag trying to conceive, fuentes, Blue, Sherry, Cate, and Jenn!
