Oy Vey

Dovid had an allergic reaction to something today, but I have no idea what it was. All of a sudden the poor boy has hives all over and is turning beet red. At first Shmuel thought it might be bug bites, but this was a little too much to be bug bites. So I sent him over to a friend's house to find us some kiddie benadryl. Within 1/2 an hour of Dovid taking the benadryl the hives were gone. I'm thinking of taking him to see an allergist to find out what the heck that was all about!!!

On another note, Dovid is now standing for longer and longer periods of time. I am SOOO proud of him! He even sort of took a step, but I think it was because he was catching his balance. hehe Chana is also testing her standing ability, but she doesn't stay standing as long as Dovid does without holding onto something. Stuff

Dovid saw the pediatrician at the end of last week and he hadn't gained any weight in over a week. Whoops! But he wasn't vomiting all the time either, so we were kind of stumped. He did vomit once on Tuesday evening, but hadn't since then. So the doctor gave me a can of soy formula and said to try that. He got his normal feedings and didn't throw up the soy. YAY! We also noticed that he's getting a tooth!!!! It's juuuuuust peeking through, so that might have been bothering him, although would that have caused vomiting? I don't know. In any case, once the soy formula was gone we put him back on the regular stuff (although over the weekend we switched from the 0-12 month formula to the 9-24 month formula, but it's basically the same stuff just a weensy bit cheaper). And so far he's kept all of that down too. VICTORY!! lol Tomorrow he goes for another weigh-in and we just have to pray that his weight has gone up or the pediatrician will have my head. Eep.

In other news, classes are going well and I'm really enjoying it. (No, I'm not being sarcastic...I really do enjoy it.) And in my free time (haha) I'm starting on my reviews/giveaways blog. Scavenger Hunt

Since yesterday I've been spending my free time doing The 10th Semi-Annual Great Cloth Diaper Hunt. Half of me loves it, and the other half hates it. I love it because I could win free stuff. I hate it because it takes up my time, and I get so frustrated when I can't find something quickly. hehehe Anyhoo, go check it out if you want to try to win free cloth diapers and other "green" products. Washing Diapers

I've been using Charlie's Soap to wash my new cloth diapers, but I realized that it's not a disinfectant. EWWW ICK! :-) I found new products called "Thirsties Pre Wash" and "Thirsties Super Wash" on The Cloth Diaper Report website. (They're also having a giveaway for the products.) What do you think? How do you ladies disinfect your cloth diapers?? NEED HELP!!! P.S. I can't use "sunshine" as a disinfectant because not only don't we have a clothesline, but I live in the northeast where sunshine doesn't exist during the winter months... :-)
